The Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) is a statutory body responsible for the regulation of the teaching profession throughout Queensland, and operates in the public interest.
The QCT recognises Aboriginal Peoples and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Peoples of Australia and the Traditional Custodians of the different and diverse countries within Queensland.
The QCT acknowledges the wrongs of our past and the enduring impact of colonisation and dispossession on First Nations Peoples including social, wellbeing and economic disadvantages.
This is the QCT’s statement of strategic intention towards continual improvement and prioritisation of inclusive practice and cultural safety, to support an operating environment where First Nations Peoples feel safe, valued and respected in engaging with the organisation.
