How to renew

A teacher due for renewal is required to:

  • log in to their myQCT account
  • submit their renewal form (under Applications) and pay at the end of the form.

When to renew — renewal vs restoration

A teacher with full registration needs to apply for renewal by the "end date" of their five-year period of registration. After this date, different terminology and fees apply. The "end date" for renewal, as well as a teacher's next annual fee date, appears:

If you apply and pay your fee by your end date

If by 3 months after your end date you have not applied and paid for restoration

Renewal is quick and easy

It takes five minutes once every five years.

You can still renew even if you have not been teaching. Think carefully before giving up your registration. There are good reasons to stay registered.

Fully registered teachers looking for more details can read the Renewal guide.
