Conference Support Fund
Applications for 2026 funding open in Term 2
Queensland registered teachers can apply for QCT funding to support them present their academic research on the national stage.
The Conference Support Fund reimburses teachers' costs of presenting their research at Australian education conferences including registration fees, travel, and accommodation.
It encourages teachers to consider sharing their practitioner research with the wider education community: creating space to reflect on existing approaches while providing new insights that strengthen professional understanding and inform new ways of working.
Available for registered teachers across all sectors (State, Catholic and Independent), the annual program accepts applications throughout Terms 2 and 3 – from Monday 20 April 2026 to Monday 7 September 2026.
How does it work?
- Read the guidelines – featuring selection and eligibility criteria, and the types of costs you can claim for up to $2,500 reimbursement, the guidelines should be thoroughly consulted to submit a strong application.
- Apply online – applications for funding will be open throughout Terms 2 and 3.

Rolling judging deadlines – a QCT judging panel will review applications
submitted by the following dates and make timely decisions to award funding:
- 18 May 2026 – first judging panel meets in Week 5, Term 2
- 15 June 2026 – second judging panel meets in Week 9, Term 2
- 10 August 2026 – third judging panel meets in Week 5, Term 3
- 7 September 2026 – fourth and final judging panel meets in Week 9, Term 3
