Program description and rationale
To graduate with a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) students are required to complete 32 units, including discipline-specific curriculum and pedagogical studies and a primary specialisation.
The learning/subject area available for the primary specialisation is English/literacy.
The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) includes 80 days of supervised professional experience and 50 hours of wider field experience.

Students are given the opportunity to experience different school settings and learners by taking a trip to rural and remote areas and are supported to undertake a professional experience placement in a regional, rural or remote setting.

Program description and rationale
Learn to plan, teach and assess children in Primary School settings. Develop curriculum knowledge in English, mathematics, science, technology, arts, health and physical education, history, and geography. Develop valuable skills and experiences, engaging with community projects, working with children, families and communities.
In this program students will:
- complete 80 days of supervised teaching in local schools (and rural and remote settings if desired)
- complete a discipline specialisation in STEM or English/literacy
- work with children and families
- attend professional development seminars to enhance their knowledge.

Students will be eligible to enter the program if they satisfy discipline knowledge requirements in an undergraduate degree from a recognised institution.
