Excellence in Teaching Awards

Excellence in Teaching Awards

Registered teachers from state, Catholic and independent schools are eligible for nomination in four award categories. Nominations close 22 July 2015. Click on the icon for a nomination form and more information.

Professional Standards for FET sector

The QCT is working with providers, unions and the sector to define a set of professional standards for Further Education and Training practitioners in Queensland. The project website includes regular updates, a Blog and the opportunity to subscribe to a newsletter. fet.qct.edu.au

Teacher Profile Released

The QCT has released a new report that profiles 2013 Queensland graduate teachers.

Practising teachers required for QCT Board

Do you have a strong interest in the standards of the teaching profession in Queensland? In August the QCT will conduct an election for three practising teachers to serve on the QCT Board from 2016. Nominations will open on 12 June and close on 26 June 2015. More information.

Online Coaching Modules

Are you looking for some professional learning opportunities to build capacity in teaching mathematics, reading and writing? Self-paced online coaching modules for registered teachers are now available via the myQCT online services account.

Are you a beginning teacher or do you know a beginning teacher? The QCT is calling for nominations for early career teachers to share their classroom practice via a movie documentary using the ClassMovies process.

Interactive Workshops – 2015 schedule

The QCT Team will be visiting a variety of locations across southern Queensland during Term 2 and regional Queensland during Term 3 to conduct information workshops. These workshops will focus on the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and QCT registration processes.

Teachers wishing to participate and register for the southern Queensland (Term 2) events can do so via the link below. The regional Queensland (Term 3) schedule will be available soon.
