Story Bridge light-up colours for teachers

For the first time the Story Bridge will light up to say thank you to teachers on October 29, the day before World Teachers' Day is celebrated in Australia.

Research Digest

'Big Ideas in Mathematics' looks at what this concept means for the teaching and learning of mathematics in schools. It describes two views about Big Ideas, and aims to give some insights into how the Big Ideas concept can be used by mathematics teachers.

Working with parents to support students provides tips for both teachers and parents on how to work best together to support students.

Interested in supporting preservice teachers online?

The QCT is currently seeking experienced teachers or school administrators (who may be recently retired) to work as mentors supporting pre service teachers in an online community called TeachConnect. For more details visit Expression of Interest.

Professional Standards for FET sector

Outcome of Election of Practising Teachers to the QCT Board

Congratulations to the following practising teachers who have been elected to the Board of the QCT for the term commencing 1 January 2016:

  • Ms Alota Lima (State School Sector), master teacher, Aldridge State High School; and
