The QCT awards a small number of grants annually to practising Queensland teachers. The grants’ purpose is to assist teachers to present their research at key Australian education conferences such as Australian Teacher Education Association (ATEA), Australian Curriculum Studies Association (ACSA) and Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE).
Applications open on 1 January each year and must be submitted by 30 April.

World Teachers’ Day is held annually on the last Friday in October (Australia). It is an international day of celebration and a chance for the community to demonstrate their appreciation for the contribution teachers have made.
QCT eNews is sent every 4-6 weeks in term time. It contains recent publications, reports on QCT activities and teacher registration information.
The QCT enjoys mutually beneficial partnerships with Teachers Mutual Bank, Teachers' Union Health (TUH), The Courier-Mail, Schoolzine and QSuper. These sponsors help the QCT to promote the teaching profession and foster positive public perception of teachers.
