As Head of Special Education Services, Kerry is passionate about maximising students’ literacy potential and has created programs for vision-impaired children that have made a real difference at her school. Redesigning classroom practices to better meet the learning needs of students, Kerry’s orientation and mobility techniques for children with a disability have turned ‘spaces’ into ‘places’ through art installations. She has also integrated Braille across the school and in students’ homes to encourage greater opportunities for communication and learning.
