As a physical education teacher with 20 years’ fitness instructing experience, Bronwen has made vocational education and training a key part of her teaching game plan. After running a Certificate II course in Community Recreation for the past four years, Bronwen teamed up with the Brisbane North Institute of TAFE’s Bracken Ridge campus to deliver their Certificate III in Fitness Program at Ferny Grove State High School. And the benefits aren’t just for students — she is also the school’s ‘wellness coordinator’, providing health, nutrition and exercise advice for other staff.
