When Kirsten was given a class of challenging Year 8 mathematics students with a range of behavioural issues, she developed an interactive learning plan to focus on positive achievements. Ever since, her ‘raffle ticket’ rewards system has been paying off – behaviour and academic performances have improved, with Kirsten’s processes inspiring a model of best practice. Her role in new mathematics work units has also helped the school’s NAPLAN results.
