Document Certification
How to have a document certified
Photocopy the original document. Take the original and the photocopy to a Solicitor, Justice of the Peace, Commissioner for Declarations or a Notary Public. The official must make the following statement ON EVERY PAGE:
I have sighted the original document and certify this to be a true copy of the original.
The official’s name and contact number should be clearly indicated.
Photocopies and faxes of certified copies are not acceptable.
