Recommendation Report
In order for a provisionally registered teacher to move to full registration, a recommendation report must be completed by a principal* to confirm that the Professional Standards for Queensland Teachers have been met by the provisionally registered teacher. The principal* must be a fully registered teacher.
The provisionally registered teacher provides their selection of examples of practice to the school principal*, accompanied by a declaration that these are their own work, unless otherwise appropriately acknowledged. The examples of practice will include items provided by, or verified by, registered teachers and administrators.
The principal* completes the report and makes a recommendation to the QCT based on the teaching practice of the provisionally registered teacher.
Please note the QCT's Provisional to Full Registration Recommendation Report Form is not the same as reports required by employing authorities for different purposes, e.g. Education Queensland's Probationary Teachers: Confirmation of Appointment form.
The form may be completed through 'Online Services' or by downloading a Provisional to Full Registration Recommendation Report Form.
*If the provisionally registered teacher is teaching in an acceptable setting other than a school, the report should be completed by a person in an equivalent position to a principal and who must be a fully registered teacher.
