- The QCT has submitted a response to the MCEECDYA consultation on the draft National Professional Standards for Teachers (for more information on the consultation see www.mceecdya.edu.au)
- Nominations for the 2010 QCT Excellence in Teaching Awards are now closed - The Awards celebrate teachers whose excellence in teaching inspires their school community. Finalists will be announced in September. The awards are sponsored again by Queensland Teachers' Credit Union and Teachers' Union Health (TUH).
- Inside Teaching: first issue of new national professional magazine for registered teachers now available. More information here
- The QCT has engaged Insight SRC to administer on its behalf the 2010 Preservice Teacher Education Program Graduate Survey. The survey seeks the views of principals and beginning teachers on the effectiveness of Queensland preservice teacher education programs in preparing teachers for the classroom.
- Online presentation for fully registered teachers about Renewal of Registration is now available
- 2010 Schedule of workshops for Provisionally Registered Teachers and Information Sessions for Fully Registered Teachers is now available.
- Online CPD Recording Tool. The tool is accessed through Online Services (see top right) using teacher registration number and password.

- The QCT is currently working with potential providers of Returning to Teaching in a School programs. Private providers interested in developing a program should contact the Professional Standards Unit for more information and guidelines.
