This report outlines elements of quality supervision crucial to the development of preservice teachers' skills and practices. Coming soon will be set of modules to enhance this work. The Queensland College of Teachers is a member of ATRA, the incorporated association of Australasian Teacher Regulatory Authorities.
The Queensland College of Teachers has partnered with the New South Wales Institute of Teachers and the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership to produce an online professional learning experience to assist teachers in supervising pre-service teachers. The four on-line modules, Effective Partnerships, Practice Analysis, Making Judgements and Unpacking the Graduate Standards will enhance the knowledge and skills of those who supervise pre-service teachers during a professional placement experience. The modules can be found at aitsl.edu.au/spt
Registrations are now open for the QCT's 2013 professional development workshops. Workshops will take place in both metropolitan and regional Queensland. The full schedule of events and details of each workshop, are available on the workshop registration page.
Teacher registration in Queensland began in 1973 through the former Board of Teacher Education.

The QCT has submitted a response to the recent DEEWR discussion paper on alternative pathways for entry to teaching.
Any teacher who is affected by a natural disaster in Queensland can contact the QCT via our email hotline with requests for information or for hardship considerations. A customer service officer will respond directly to you.
