Review and Appeal Rights
Where a person or entity is dissatisfied with certain decisions of the QCT or the Professional Practice and Conduct Committee made under the Education (Queensland College of Teachers) Act 2005 (the Act), the person or entity may first appeal the decision by making an application for review to one of the two QCT review committees:
- the Professional Standards Internal Review Committee
- the Professional Conduct Internal Review Committee
The decision to be reviewed will determine which review committee a person must appeal to.
A person may appeal to the District Court against a review decision of the QCT or a decision of the Teachers Disciplinary Committee.
