Notifications

Under the Education (Queensland College of Teachers) Act 2005 registered teachers have obligations and responsibilities to disclose certain information and notify the QCT of changes in circumstances.  In particular a registered teacher is required to advise the following:

• change in criminal history (s.68)
• change in circumstances (s.71)
• changes to teaching status in another State (s.72).

A number of agencies have reporting obligations to the QCT under the Act in particular:

• Commissioner of Police (s.75)
• prosecuting authority (s.80)
• employing authorities (ss.76,77 and 78)
