Commissioner of Police

The Education (Queensland College of Teachers) Act 2005 requires that the Commissioner of Police must notify the QCT of a change in criminal history if the Commissioner reasonably believes that a person who is charged with an offence is an approved teacher or was an approved teacher at the time when the offence is alleged to have been committed (s.75).

The notice must state the following:

  • the person’s name and address;
  • the person’s date of birth;
  • the offence the person is charged with;
  • particulars of the offence;
  • the date of the charge.
