School Showcase Initiative

The QCT has created an opportunity for artistic teachers and students in Queensland primary, secondary and special schools to display their work. The artwork is displayed in the public spaces and meeting rooms of the QCT's office in Brisbane and may be included in the QCT’s website and publications.

The School Showcase features artwork from different schools each term. Artwork in various mediums, including painting, drawing, photography and sculpture is encouraged. Pieces up to 2m x 2m are welcome.

The QCT requests that each artwork be accompanied by a short description of the piece, together with the name and year level of the artist. All students who participate will receive a certificate of appreciation from the QCT.

The QCT also requires some information about the Art Teacher(s) so that they can also be acknowledged for their efforts. Information about the school’s art program is also encouraged.

To register your interest in the School Showcase, please contact the QCT at or on (07) 3377 4735.

Following are some of the schools that have participated in the School Showcase:

  • Brisbane School of Distance Education
  • Milpera State High School
  • Glenmore State School
