QCT Board
As the governing body of the Queensland College of Teachers, the role of the Board is to:
- decide the policies of the QCT;
- control the affairs of the QCT;
- carry out the functions of the QCT; and
- exercise the powers of the QCT.
The Chair of the Board is appointed by the Minister.
The Board is supported by a number of committees which provide regular reports and make recommendations to the Board.
The Board of the Queensland College of Teachers consists of 17 members as required by the Education (Queensland College of Teachers) Act 2005.
The Board usually meets 10 times each year.
Election of practising teachers to the QCT Board
In May 2011 the QCT conducted an election for three practising teachers (two from the State school sector and one from the non-State school sector) to serve on the QCT Board for three-year appointments commencing in January 2012. View the role description for Board members.

Ms Stephanie Munday-Lake (Non-State school sector)
