- The compulsory fee for a national criminal history check is reduced where an applicant has no criminal history, holds a current blue card issued by the Queensland Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian and provides this information on the application. If a further national criminal history check is required you will be advised to pay an additional $26.00 before your application will be processed.
- A graduate is a person who holds a qualification from a higher education entity for a preservice teacher education program –

Renewal fee
The fee to apply for five-yearly renewal of teacher registration is the annual fee.

Restoration fee
There is no late fee applicable at the end of the five year period of full registration. If the annual fee is not paid by a teacher’s registration end date then the fee that applies for an application for restoration is the annual fee PLUS the restoration fee. The restoration period is for the three months immediately following the registration end date.
Registration ends if not renewed or restored. Teachers wishing to teach in Queensland will need to reapply for registration.

Other Fees
Annual fee and the late fee (for other than renewing teachers)
The annual fee is payable every year and a fee notice is mailed approximately eight weeks prior to the registration end date. If the annual fee is not paid by the registration end date a late fee will be incurred. If the annual fee and/or the late fee are not paid by the due date on the Final Reminder notice the QCT is required to cancel registration and remove the person’s name from the Register of Teachers. Teachers wishing to teach in Queensland will need to reapply for registration.
