Teacher Induction

An effective induction program is considered a critical element in the successful progression from provisional registration to full registration.

The QCT has an interest in the induction of teachers, especially provisionally-registered teachers.

Each year the QCT holds workshops around Queensland for provisionally registered teachers providing them the opportunity to gain first hand knowledge of QCT policy (including the Professional Standards for Queensland Teachers) and understand their responsibilities in the process of progressing from provisional to full registration.  The QCT invites school administrators and teachers who support provisionally registered teachers to attend the workshop to gain an understanding of their own responsibilities within the process, and to engage in the activities involving professional discussion around the Standards with their provisionally registered teachers.
