Census
Teacher registration protects the public and the profession from unqualified and, in some cases, unsuitable persons seeking to teach. It serves as a means of identifying those professionals who have satisfied the requisite standards for entry to and ongoing practice in the profession.
To ensure that only registered teachers are teaching in Queensland schools the QCT conducts an annual census of all teachers employed in State and non-State schools.
Principals or their delegates are required to complete the online census to reflect staff changes and current staffing. This is done by a principal or delegate logging onto the employer services section of this website.
Please read the Guidelines for more information on how to complete the census.
