Queensland Education Performance Review
On 29 June 2009, the Queensland Government Response to the Queensland Education Performance Review accepted Recommendations 1, 2, 3 and 5 and indicated in-principle support for Recommendation 4 of the report, A Shared Challenge: Improving Literacy, Numeracy and Science Learning in Queensland Primary Schools.

Work to implement recommendations is being co-ordinated and monitored by a cross-sectoralImplementation Steering Committee.
The Queensland College of Teachers has been charged with the responsibility to:
- develop and administer the pre-registration testing program. [Recommendation 1]
- develop and administer a rigorous professional development framework to accredit modules that provide evidence-based professional development in literacy, numeracy, science and assessment capability for teachers and school leaders. [Recommendation 2]
